Set-BC prioritizes serving students who have complex needs requiring complex technology solutions for whom the school is not able to provide technology or support on its own.
Dry Grad Grant – Due Dec. 16, 2024
In anticipation that the BC Liquor Distribution Branch will sponsor a Dry Grad campaign in the spring of 2025, FISA invites independent schools with Grade 12 to complete this short Dry Grad application – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DryGrad2024
Note: Dry Grad payments vary tremendously as the program is based solely on customer donations. Payments to independent schools range from under $20 to $300.
ArtStarts – Artists in Education Grant (AIE) – Due Oct. 16, 2024
ArtStarts provides a grant of approximately $25,000 annually to FISA in support of artistic endeavours in independent schools. Group 1, 2, 3, and 4 schools are encouraged to apply in order to receive up to 70% of the costs associated with bringing students and professional artists together.

To optimize participation and efficiency, FISA has established the following requirements:
***NEW*** Artists/performers must be listed in the ArtStarts Artist Directory https://artstarts.com/artist-directory
– One application per school (schools with multiple campuses may submit an application for each campus)
– Maximum reimbursement of $2,500 per school
– FISA will distribute the ~$25K grant funds to the schools which submit an application aligned with the criteria by the due date. We will reduce the “up to 70%/40% reimbursement” as necessary in order for all applicants to receive a portion of the grant. Over the past few years the reimbursement rate ranged from 55%-68%.
– Schools considering large scale projects or artists not listed in the ArtStarts Directory may want to apply for an Artist in the Classroom (AIC) grant, which is managed by ArtStarts directly https://artstarts.com/aic
