District/Authority Scholarship (DAS) Applications

The Ministry of Education and Child Care distributes 5500 District/Authority Scholarships across school districts and independent school authorities that recognize graduating B.C. students for excellence in their chosen area of interest or strength. Winners receive a $1,250 scholarship voucher to use towards their post-secondary tuition. FISA manages the adjudication process for independent schools through the hard work of four regional committees. 427 DAS awards, in the amount of $1,250 each, are available this year to grade 12 students graduating from Group 1, 2 and 4 independent schools. Students graduating from Independent Online Schools should apply in the region where the school is located.

Coast Capital Education Awards

New for 2022-23, Coast Capital will no longer deliver their Education Awards through the school system (through FISA for the independent school sector). Instead they have partnered with several community organizations to support people across all age groups to access the education and skills training they need, to prepare them for the jobs of the future and ensure diversity, equity and inclusion is a central focus.
